Resume: On her birthday, Jordan decides to go out and enjoy some time alone. That’s when she meets Pike. The pull is strong but sometimes you can’t act on it. What she didn’t expect was to discover Pike is her boyfriend’s father and they are about to live all together.

The age gap and the fact the male main character is the female main character’s dad is a taboo that marks this story. There’s no cheating from both main characters.

Jordan knows what she wants to do with her life and is working her butt off to get there, she is a teenager who grows up during all book, she isn’t perfect but you will like her. Pike is a lonely man that tries hard to connect with his son. It’s hard to not like them and you will love how their romance starts from friendship and support.

My only issue with the story was the story itself. It was a bit slow paced, some reactions and situations could be different but  the author knew how to handle the plot and get the readers acceptance. Overall Birthday Girl is a good read, it won’t shock the readers and will keep their attention. I totally recommend it.
