Love wasn't a whisper in the quiet night. It was a yelp into the void, screaming that you were here.

Not sure what is stopping me from giving it 5 stars. Or maybe I do? I don't really know. Because I think this book has potential and I liked the writing style, the author is good with words and I think it deserves more than 3 stars but on the other hand...

I started this book without reading the blurb (good experience, I recommend doing the same tbh) just to find out if this would fit the autumn/spooky season better. And you probably don't know this about me, but I have this issue when comes to reading books with a specific season in a totally different season.

Adding to that, the book doesn't have a lot of action for the plot. It's a bit all the same and over again until the last bit, and there's tons of internal monologue which, again, are repetitive.

Now, the setting is fantastic and the romance is cute. Florence and Ben are two sweethearts and good souls and I liked how their relationship was developed even though it was all in a week. But unlike other couples who fall in love after months and you are left wondering why and how you don't wonder about Florence and Ben? It wasn't insta, they actually get to know each other and spend time together where they get insights into each other and learn to love and respect each other even in such a short time.

Anyway, it was a good book. I guess I just wasn't in the mood for such monologue and the season.
